Keelung Water Fun event opens with upgraded facilities amid high temperatures

As high temperatures grip the region, Keelung has launched its "Nuan Nuan Water Fun 2.0" event, offering a refreshing escape for residents. The upgraded Nuan Nuan Water Park officially opened its doors, drawing families eager to cool off and enjoy the new attractions.

Mayor Hsieh Kuo-liang was present at the opening ceremony, joining children and other attendees in a lively water gun battle. He emphasized the city's dedication to enhancing public spaces, noting that the park's facilities have been comprehensively renovated. New additions include whimsical water features shaped like turtles, crabs, and mushrooms, alongside improved changing rooms and restrooms to ensure a comfortable experience for families.

The event, running until August 3rd, offers daily water play sessions in the morning and afternoon. Beyond the water attractions, the "Nuan Nuan Water Fun 2.0" initiative incorporates diverse family-friendly activities. These include interactive games, local history tours, and theatrical performances, designed to blend educational elements with recreational fun.

Mayor Hsieh also revealed plans for future developments, including the upcoming Baifu Water Park, expected to open next year. These initiatives underscore Keelung's ongoing efforts to create more quality recreational spaces for its citizens, especially during the hot summer months. The Nuan Nuan Water Park is open daily, with specific hours for water play and scheduled maintenance days for cleaning and water changes.

In addition to hardware facility upgrades, this year also combines with Keelung City Health Bureau, Nuan Nuan Library, Nuan Nuan Parent-Child Center, and Nuannuan West Non-profit Kindergarten, etc., to jointly plan diverse parent-child activities, including water play challenge games, cultural and historical walks, and interactive drama performances, allowing children to learn while playing in the water and create beautiful summer memories.
