Keiber Lamadrid starts pre-season with West Ham

Keiber Lamadrid has returned to West Ham United to begin pre-season training for the 2026-2027 season. The Venezuelan winger reported for medical examinations on July 7 and joined training sessions under coach Nuno Espírito Santo.

West Ham will compete in the Championship, England's second division, next season after being relegated from the Premier League. The team dropped categories after failing to secure safety on the final day, finishing in eighteenth place. Lamadrid did not play in the English top flight.

Lamadrid was on loan from January to June 2026 before West Ham exercised its purchase option. After standing out at Deportivo La Guaira, he spent six months with the Hammers' U21 team and debuted with the first team in the FA Cup. He played three matches in the Premier League 2, scoring once and providing an assist. He also started in the FA Cup against Burton Albion, marking his first-team debut.

Although he did not feature in Premier League matches, Lamadrid was called up for three league games. He was also part of the squad for an FA Cup tie that resulted in West Ham's elimination. Lamadrid aims to gain more consideration from Nuno Espírito Santo and secure a place in the first team.
