At 54, surfing icon Kelly Slater proved age is just a number as he dominated Gabriel Medina at the Tahiti Pro, advancing to the third round with a stunning performance. Despite facing heavy wipeouts and even breaking his board in two during the heat, Slater showcased his enduring skill. He recovered to thread a deep tube, earning a near-perfect 9.73 out of 10, and followed it up with another high-scoring wave. His exceptional two-wave total of 19.06 out of 20 secured his victory over Medina, whom he famously beat in a final at the same venue in 2014.
