Kia Launches Black Edition for Sportage, Sorento, and Carnival

Kia has introduced a new Black Edition for its popular Sportage, Sorento, and Carnival SUV models, aiming to capture customer demand for more assertive and upscale aesthetics. This special edition, launched on the 27th, complements the updated annual models of these vehicles.

The Black Edition enhances the vehicles' appeal with a focus on premium materials and a commanding presence. Inside, the cabins feature black upholstery, headrest emblems, and black suede headlining, creating a sophisticated atmosphere. Kia is also offering a dedicated display theme for the Black Edition through the Kia Connect Store, providing a unique digital experience.

Externally, the Black Edition distinguishes itself with dark metal and gloss black accents, along with newly designed wheels. These updates aim to provide a differentiated look from the standard models. Alongside these aesthetic upgrades, Kia has also enhanced the annual models with expanded popular features and improved configurations.

The updated 2027 Sportage now includes a 12.3-inch navigation system and highway driving assist as standard across all trims. Higher trims gain additional safety and convenience features. The 2027 Sorento adds 100W USB-C ports to the front console and seats, and certain hybrid trims receive 19-inch wheels. The 2027 Carnival features LED rear combination lamps as standard and USB-C ports for all three rows.

Pricing for the 2027 Sportage ranges from 29.44 million to 40.68 million won. The 2027 Sorento is priced between 36.41 million and 48.95 million won, with hybrid models' final prices after tax benefits to be announced. The 2027 Carnival starts at 36.86 million won for the 9-seater, with the Black Edition priced at 45.92 million won for the 3.5 gasoline and 50.47 million won for the 1.6 turbo hybrid. The 7-seater Carnival is priced at 43.82 million won for the gasoline model and 53.01 million won for the hybrid.

Kia views these models as core to its leadership in the RV market. "Sportage, Sorento, and Carnival are Kia's core models representing the domestic RV market," said a Kia official. "We will further solidify our RV market leadership through the Black Edition, which reflects customers' diverse lifestyles and tastes, and the updated annual models that enhance product quality."
