KIA Tigers pitcher Lee Eui-ri is embracing an unexpected new role in the bullpen, finding a unique thrill in closing games. Originally anticipating a return to his starting position, a teammate's injury shifted his path to relief pitching.

"I have to get one inning done, and I feel a dopamine rush I never knew before. It's different to warm up quickly and feel the urgency," Lee said in an interview at Gwangju-Kia Champions Field. He described the experience of pitching in relief as distinctly different from starting, highlighting the rapid preparation and intense pressure.
