Kia Supports Ocean Cleanup with Four Electric Vehicles

Kia is expanding its environmental protection collaboration by donating four electric vehicles to The Ocean Cleanup, a global non-profit organization dedicated to removing plastic waste from the world's oceans.

The donation comprises two EV3 and two EV4 models. These vehicles will be utilized in the field for collecting plastic debris from marine and river environments. This initiative builds on Kia's previous support in 2023, when the company provided one EV6 and three Niro EV models to the organization.

A notable feature of the new EV3 vehicles is the use of custom trunk liners made from recycled ocean plastic. These liners were jointly developed by Kia and The Ocean Cleanup, utilizing plastic waste recovered from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.
