Kim Gye-ri: Han Dong-hoon is afraid of losing attention, so he keeps exposing recordings

Kim Gye-ri, a lawyer for former President Yoon Suk Yeol, mocked Han Dong-hoon’s repeated release of call recordings linked to allegations against Justice Minister nominee Kim Seung-won, saying Han feared losing the spotlight.

In a Facebook post on the 6th, Kim said she “burst out laughing” after seeing Han create and publish the transcript directly on his Facebook feed. She described him as impatient and said politicians typically pass such material to news organizations or politically aligned YouTube channels for exposure.

He is afraid that he will not receive attention right now and that he will not be able to fight on the issue.

Kim argued that Han feared losing attention and political momentum, so he had to keep doing something. She also criticized politicians close to Han, saying their apparent excitement over reports that tips were pouring in showed the limits of their politics. Kim previously represented Yoon during his impeachment proceedings and is also handling his criminal trial.

The dispute widened after the Democratic Party reported Han to the Corruption Investigation Office. The party questioned how he obtained the recordings and alleged that their release could constitute disclosure of official secrets, publication of alleged criminal facts, and violations of privacy and public records laws. Kim Seung-won said Han was leaking investigative materials to the media in stages as part of a political offensive, calling the leaks punishable as a criminal matter.
