Kim Hee-jae Returns With His First Full Album in Two and a Half Years

Kim Hee-jae is returning with an album designed to leave an emotional echo long after the final note. His third full-length release, REVERB, arrives about two and a half years after his previous album, The Joys and Sorrows of Life, released in March 2024.

The singer will release the album through major online music services at 6 p.m. on the 7th. It contains 11 tracks, including the title song “I Really Hate Goodbyes,” along with “Hey, Sister,” “Were You Waiting for a Day Like This,” “Love Is Leaving,” “Why Are You Leaving,” “Take It All,” “I’ll Forget,” “If You Fall for Me,” and “Shaken.” Instrumental versions of the tracks are also included.

The title REVERB refers to a sound that continues to linger in a space after music has ended. Kim Hee-jae said he hopes the feelings in these songs will remain in listeners’ hearts even after the singing stops.

He first became known as a trot prodigy in childhood and strengthened his public profile through TV Chosun’s competition program Mr. Trot. The new album brings together the excitement and poignancy associated with his music.
