Musical actor Kim Ho-young shared a glimpse of his New York trip through a YouTube vlog, featuring a segment where he applied cosmetics during his flight. He described the product as "very refreshing, not too thin, not too heavy," subtly promoting the sponsored item.

The vlog also indirectly addressed a lingering controversy from 2022 involving Kim and musical actress Ok Joo-hyun. At the time, Kim's social media post, "Asaripan is a thing of the past. Now it's Okjupan," was interpreted as a jab at Ok Joo-hyun's alleged "friendship casting" practices. This led to a defamation lawsuit filed by Ok Joo-hyun against Kim.

Veteran actors like Park Kal-in, Choi Jung-won, and Nam Kyung-ju weighed in, emphasizing that actors should focus on their roles and not interfere with casting decisions, which are the producer's prerogative. The controversy escalated, but Kim later clarified that his post was not intended to target Ok Joo-hyun but to promote his father's flooring business. The legal dispute was eventually resolved, and Ok Joo-hyun withdrew her lawsuit.
