Kim Keon Hee special counsel appeals two-year prison sentence for Unification Church leader

The special counsel investigating Kim Keon Hee has appealed a two-year prison sentence for Han Hak-ja, the leader of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, commonly known as the Unification Church.

The team led by Special Counsel Min Joong-ki said on the 4th that it had appealed on grounds that the sentence was too lenient and that the court had misunderstood the law. The appeal covers Han and three other defendants accused of violating the Political Funds Act and the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act.
