Kim Min-jae Plays Full Match as Bayern Munich Defeat Dortmund 2-1 for Supercup Title

Bayern Munich secured their second consecutive German Supercup title, triumphing 2-1 over rivals Borussia Dortmund in a hard-fought match. South Korean defender Kim Min-jae played a crucial role, completing the full 90 minutes for Bayern in the single-leg final held at Signal Iduna Park.

The victory marks Bayern Munich's 12th Supercup trophy overall. The Bavarian giants established an early lead with goals from Nathaniel Brown in the 28th minute and Michael Olise just before halftime. Dortmund attempted a comeback in the second half, with Fabio Silva scoring in the 75th minute, but their efforts were hampered by a late red card.

Dortmund defender Ramí Bensebaini received a straight red card for a dangerous foul late in the game, diminishing their chances of equalizing. Bayern managed to hold on to their lead, clinching the win and extending their dominance in German domestic competitions.

Bayern Munich will now turn their attention to the Bundesliga, kicking off their 2026-2027 season campaign with an away match against Stuttgart on August 29th.
