South Korean golfer Kim Si-woo is in contention at the season's final major, the 154th British Open, after a strong second-round performance. Kim is currently tied for fifth place, positioning himself well as the tournament progresses.

Kim carded a 3-under-par 67 in Friday's second round at Royal Birkdale Golf Club, combining for a 5-under-par 135 total. This places him just three strokes behind the current leader, Lucas Herbert of Australia, who sits at 8-under-par.

With four PGA Tour victories already to his name, Kim Si-woo has consistently performed well this season, making the cut in all but one of his 19 starts.
