Kingston men charged following robbery in Portmore

Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with a robbery that occurred at a bus stop in Greater Portmore, St. Catherine. The incident took place on Wednesday, July 22.

Daquan Bruce, 25, and Randy May, 28, both of Kingston, allegedly approached a woman at the bus stop. They reportedly told her she resembled someone who had killed a man's daughter and demanded her cellular phone. One of the men allegedly showed her a firearm, prompting the woman to comply out of fear for her life. The two men then fled the scene.

Following the incident, Bruce and May were apprehended by the police in Half-Way Tree. Both were positively identified by the victim during an identification parade and have since been charged with robbery with aggravation, possession of a prohibited weapon, using a firearm to commit a felony, and conspiracy. Their court appearance is currently being finalized.
