KMT Chairwoman claims US visit yielded high-level party contacts, seeks collaborators

Kuomintang (KMT) Chairwoman Hsu Chih-jung asserted that her recent trip to the United States facilitated direct engagement with core members of both the Republican and Democratic parties. During an interview on "Big News Big Explosion," Hsu revealed she has cultivated relationships with "several good friends of former President Trump" and established "direct human contact" with influential figures across the political spectrum.

I can responsibly tell everyone that we have established direct human contact with the core of the Republican and Democratic parties, and we are often communicating and exchanging ideas.

Hsu highlighted that her proposed vision of transforming the First Island Chain into a "Peace and Prosperity Chain" has garnered significant interest. She believes certain individuals are now willing to collaborate with her on this initiative, prompting her to actively recruit advisors for what she terms a "great undertaking." This includes engaging with cross-strait exchanges and initiatives, particularly following her recent visit to Beijing and the subsequent release of ten preferential policies for Taiwan by mainland China.

She recounted meeting individuals who had recently dined with the Trumps, gaining valuable insights. Hsu expressed surprise at the level of support from global leaders, industry experts, and academic institutions, noting their willingness to cooperate on high-tech projects with significant humanitarian benefits. She emphasized that these interactions go beyond mere handshakes, with many expressing a strong desire to collaborate on her vision.
