Ko Woo-seok falters in consecutive MLB outings, allowing home run and three runs

Ko Woo-seok's Major League Baseball debut continued to be a challenging one as he faltered in his first back-to-back pitching appearances. On June 21, the Minnesota Twins pitcher took the mound in the seventh inning with his team trailing the Cleveland Guardians 3-10. He lasted just one inning, surrendering three runs on four hits, including a home run, and striking out two batters.

Bailey opened the scoring against Ko with a solo home run to center field. The struggles continued as Ko allowed a double to P.J. Hall, followed by another double to Kyle Manzardo, putting runners on second and third with no outs. Although Ko managed to strike out Brayan Rocchio, he then gave up a two-run double to Chase DeLauter, increasing the deficit and his personal earned run count.

Ko had previously navigated a bases-loaded jam without allowing a run against the Chicago Cubs. However, this outing proved more difficult. His season ERA ballooned from 3.00 to 9.00 after this performance. The Twins, unable to recover from the additional runs, lost the game 4-13, marking their third consecutive defeat.
