Kogi varsity student found dead along Lokoja-Abuja Highway

A final-year student from the Federal University Lokoja, identified as Sarah Idoko, was found dead on Saturday night along the Lokoja-Abuja Highway. Her body was discovered near the Crusher area on the Felele axis of Lokoja, reportedly dumped by unknown individuals. Eyewitnesses reported seeing a vehicle stop briefly at the location around 8 p.m. before quickly driving away.

Initial reports suggested the deceased was a student at Kogi State Polytechnic, based on an recovered identity card. However, police later confirmed she was a student at the Federal University Lokoja. The Commissioner of Police in Kogi State, CP Naziru Kankarofi, stated that investigations are underway to uncover the details surrounding her death and to apprehend the perpetrators.
