Kondás Elemér Returns to Debrecen Coaching, but with DEAC's Third Division Team

Elemér Kondás is returning to coach in Debrecen, but not for the team many might expect. The experienced 62-year-old manager has been appointed as the new head coach for Debreceni Egyetem (DEAC)'s third-division football team (NB III).

Kondás, who led DVSC to two Hungarian league championships in the past, expressed his enthusiasm for returning to DEAC. He stated that the club's leadership sought him out with the goal of achieving promotion in the upcoming season. Kondás previously coached DEAC after December 2019 and recalled a successful period, aiming to replicate that success.

Meanwhile, DVSC, Debrecen's top-tier club, has chosen Estonian Gert Remmel as its new head coach. Remmel joins from the coaching staff of Motor Lublin in Poland and brings two assistants with him. The announcement of both coaching changes highlights a significant shift in Debrecen's football landscape, with Kondás now managing a lower-division team while DVSC looks to a new international figure for its top squad.
