Konyaspor to appeal referee decisions for Fenerbahçe and Rizespor matches to TFF

Konyaspor, a participant in the Trendyol Süper Lig, has officially announced its intention to appeal refereeing decisions from recent matches against Rizespor and Fenerbahçe. The club released a statement detailing controversial calls that they believe were incorrect, prompting the appeal to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF).

Following the penalty decision against us in the final minutes of the Çaykur Rizespor match we played at home last week, the decisions made by the main referee and VAR referees in the match we played against Fenerbahçe, which we evaluate as incorrect, have made it imperative for us to make this statement, even though we are at the beginning of the season.

The statement highlighted a penalty decision against Konyaspor in the final minutes of their home game against Çaykur Rizespor, followed by what the club deems to be erroneous calls by both the main and VAR referees during the Fenerbahçe match. Konyaspor emphasized that while they do not attribute their losses solely to officiating, they have a right to expect fair and consistent refereeing.

However, we want to express that it is our most natural right to want our efforts on the field to be protected by principled, fair, and consistent refereeing, and that we are aware of our responsibility to our fans and our community.
