Korail Tourism Development chief takes office, pledges to strengthen rail tourism

Song Kwang-seok has taken charge of Korail Tourism Development with a pledge to build a sustainable rail-tourism company that can deliver both public value and profits.

The public-sector company held an inauguration ceremony for Song at its headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the second. He formally began work as the company’s 15th chief executive.

In his inaugural address, Song set the balance between public service and profitability as the core direction of his management. He also outlined six key priorities for putting that vision into practice, including field-focused management and strengthening the competitiveness of rail tourism.
