Korda wins US Women's Open for second straight major title, fourth win of season

Nelly Korda has captured the US Women's Open title, adding another major championship to her already stellar season. The American golfer, ranked world No. 1, carded a final round of 8-under-par 276 to secure the victory at the Riviera Country Club.

This win marks Korda's second consecutive major championship triumph this year, following her victory at the Chevron Championship in April. It is also her fourth win overall in the current season, underscoring her remarkable dominance on the LPGA Tour.

Korda's performance in the final round was clutch. She sank a nearly 3-meter birdie putt on the 17th hole (par 5) to take sole possession of the lead. She then sealed her win with a 76-centimeter par putt on the 18th hole (par 4).

With this victory, Korda now boasts four major championship titles. This US Women's Open win is particularly sweet, avenging her close second-place finish in the same tournament last year. Her current season has been exceptional, with four wins and three runner-up finishes in eight tournaments entered.
