Korea Dow Appoints Jin Dong-ah as New CEO, Retains II&I Sales Leadership

Korea Dow, a prominent chemical company, has announced the appointment of Jin Dong-ah as its new Chief Executive Officer. The company revealed on August 4th that Jin will concurrently hold his position as the Senior Sales Leader for the Industrial Intermediates & Infrastructure (II&I) business unit.

Jin Dong-ah brings extensive experience to his new role. He joined Dow in 2010, initially working in the supply chain department. His career within the company includes significant roles in the Polyurethanes business, where he served as a Global Account Manager and Marketing Manager. He also held sales management positions in Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia before becoming the Senior Sales Leader for the II&I division in Korea in 2023.

In his previous capacity as Senior Sales Leader for the II&I division, Jin oversaw both the Polyurethanes and Industrial Solutions business units. His promotion to CEO signifies a recognition of his leadership and contributions to the company's growth in key industrial sectors.

The company also announced that former CEO Lee Chang-hyun will transition to a new position as the Director of Technical Support and Development (TS&D) for Dow's Consumer Solutions business across the Asia Pacific region. This move is expected to expand his responsibilities and leverage his expertise in a different segment of Dow's operations.
