Korea FA finalizes World Cup bonuses: 200 million won for Round of 16, 80 million per win

The Korea Football Association (KFA) has set the final bonus and support criteria for the national team competing in the 2026 North, Central American and Caribbean World Cup. The revised plan acknowledges the tournament's expansion from 32 to 48 teams, introducing a new Round of 16 knockout stage.

Under the new system, players will receive a 200 million won ($145,000) bonus for reaching the Round of 16. Additionally, a victory bonus of 80 million won ($58,000) will be awarded for each match won in the tournament. This tiered reward system aims to incentivize deeper progression in the expanded competition.
