Korea Trade Association opens applications for 63rd Trade Day awards

The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) has begun accepting online applications for the 'Export Tower' and 'Meritorious Service Awards' to commemorate the 63rd Trade Day. The application period runs from July 20 to August 7.

KITA, in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, annually hosts the Trade Day ceremony on December 5. The event honors companies that have pioneered overseas markets despite challenging external conditions and recognizes individuals who have significantly contributed to trade promotion. The Export Tower award is open to companies that have surpassed their previous export records, with exports exceeding $1 million. The current calculation period for export performance is from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. Both direct exports and indirect exports, such as service and digital content exports, are recognized.

For the Meritorious Service Awards, the honors will be bestowed upon representatives and employees of exporting companies, with a total of 10 types of awards, including the Industrial Medal and Presidential Commendation. The application process is available online through the KITA awards website (award.kita.net). The system is linked with the websites of Korea Trade Network (KTNET) and the Korea Trade Statistics Promotion Institute, allowing companies to easily import indirect export data.
