Korean Air Wins Five Awards at Global Traveler's In-Flight Wine Competition

Korean Air has solidified its reputation for premium in-flight beverage service, clinching five accolades at the prestigious "Wines on the Wing 2026" competition. Hosted by Global Traveler, a leading publication for premium business travel, the event recognized excellence in airline wine programs.

The airline's commitment to quality was particularly evident as it secured the top spot in the highly competitive Business Class wine list category. In total, Korean Air's wine offerings were honored with one first-place award, two second-place awards, and two third-place awards across various segments.

Now in its 20th year, the "Wines on the Wing" competition involves international wine experts conducting blind tastings of wines served in the premium cabins of major airlines worldwide. This year, selections were based on wines available as of February, with a total of 20 award categories presented. The competition acknowledges the complexities of in-flight wine service, where factors like lower cabin pressure and humidity can alter the taste and aroma of wine compared to ground-level experiences.
