Kosovo minister: Another mass grave discovered in northern Kosovo

Kosovo's acting Interior Minister, Xhelal Svecla, reported on Sunday the discovery of another mass grave in the Zubin Potok municipality in northern Kosovo. This new site is located approximately 10 kilometers from a previously identified mass grave in Kaludra, where searches are still ongoing. The grave in Jabuka village, within the same municipality, contains the remains of victims from the last war in Kosovo.

Following the discovery of human remains in a mass grave in Kaludra near Zubin Potok, where the search is still ongoing, another mass grave has been found just 10 kilometers away in the village of Jabuka, in the same municipality, containing the remains of victims from the last war in Kosovo.

Svecla drew a parallel between current Serbian actions and the era of Slobodan Milosevic, accusing Belgrade of withholding information about individuals who went missing during the Kosovo war. He further alleged that Serbia is actively threatening and arresting Serbs who are cooperating with the search for mass graves. The minister also claimed that Serbia continues to honor military units, such as the 37th Brigade, through memorials, despite their alleged responsibility for numerous massacres in Kosovo.

Last Tuesday, Kosovo authorities had announced the discovery of a mass grave in Mala Kaludra, suspected to contain the remains of 23 ethnic Albanian civilians from Mitrovica. In light of these discoveries and his accusations against Serbia, Svecla urged international partners to condemn and impose sanctions on Serbia's actions.

Serbia remains the same as it was during the era of Slobodan Milosevic, accusing Belgrade of withholding information on those who went missing during the war in Kosovo. He further alleged that Serbia is threatening and arresting Serbs who cooperate in the search for mass graves. Furthermore, it continues to glorify units such as the 37th Brigade through memorials, despite its members being responsible for numerous massacres in Kosovo.

He stated that Spain's territorial integrity is not a subject for negotiation and must be defended. He emphasized respect for all but asserted that Spain is not weak and will not accept humiliation.
