Kosovo Prosecutor's Office: One arrested in Zubin Potok was active Yugoslav Army member during war

Kosovska policija i Specijalno tužilaštvo Kosova saopštili su da su obezbedili dokaze da je jedan od nedavno uhapšenih u Zubinom Potoku bio aktivni pripadnik Jugoslovenske vojske tokom ratnog perioda.

During a search of the suspect M.J.'s property in Zubin Potok, police and the Special Prosecutor's Office reported finding and seizing material evidence. On July 28, police announced the arrest of M.J. and M.B. on suspicion of committing war crimes against the civilian population in Kosovo in 1999. They are suspected of being responsible for the deaths of 23 Albanian civilians.

Simultaneously, excavations began in the village of Mala Kaludra, Zubin Potok, at a site suspected to be a mass grave. Authorities believe the remains of 23 intellectuals from Mitrovica, who forcibly disappeared in April 1999, are located there. Relevant authorities have since confirmed the discovery of human remains at this location.
