Bojan Kostreš, president of the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina – Vojvođani, stated that lustration is a "civilizational minimum" for Serbia and a necessary step for the democratization of society.

In a statement, the LSV claimed that Serbian society is subjected to "regime terror," with institutions rendered meaningless and the political scene systematically undermined. The party believes that energy from outside "compromised power structures" is particularly important.

Kostreš praised the student movement as the voice of a generation rejecting political apathy. He acknowledged that the LSV does not always agree with the movement's stances, especially those considered right-wing and anti-European. However, the LSV views students as an "authentic political force" capable of contributing to government change in Serbia.

Kostreš emphasized that lustration is a condition for accountability and restoring public trust in institutions, defining it not as revenge but as a mechanism to break with abuses of power and corruption. He added that the process would establish the rule of law and bring Serbia closer to European values, calling for cooperation among all forces advocating political change.
