KPC Supporters 2nd Term Launched to Cheer for Wheelchair Curling, Goalball, and Boccia

The KPC Supporters program has launched its second term, aiming to boost the visibility and engagement with para-sports in South Korea. This initiative seeks to bring more attention to athletes with disabilities and encourage broader public participation and support for their competitions.

Recruitment for the 2nd term, which ran from late May to early June, attracted over 200 applicants. The program primarily targets university students and citizens who have a keen interest in sports. The selected supporters will play a crucial role in promoting para-sports by attending key events and offering vocal encouragement from the sidelines.

Their mission extends beyond just cheering; they are expected to help enhance the public's understanding and appreciation of para-sports, making them more accessible and relatable to a wider audience. This on-site presence and active support are designed to create a more vibrant atmosphere at competitions and foster a stronger connection between the athletes and the public.

The first event the KPC Supporters will attend is the 2026 Korea Para Curling Championship, scheduled for June 28th at the Gangneung Curling Center. This event marks the beginning of their year-long commitment to supporting various para-sports disciplines.
