Kremlin Declares Ukraine Conflict Entered 'New Model' Amid Escalating Attacks

The Kremlin declared that the conflict in Ukraine has shifted to a 'new model,' citing what it alleges are Kyiv's 'inhumane terrorist acts' targeting civilians and children. Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, announced that Russia intends to attack Ukrainian military targets in the capital, Kyiv, and other cities, leading to a halt in the peace process.

Despite the escalation, Peskov maintained that Moscow keeps communication channels open with Washington, which has been mediating efforts for Russia-Ukraine negotiations. "We remain ready for peace talks," Peskov stated, emphasizing that the conflict could end immediately if Kyiv agreed to withdraw its forces from four Ukrainian territories that Russia claimed to control in 2022.
