The Rakuten Monkeys secured a narrow 1-0 victory over the TSG Hawks, snapping their four-game losing streak in a game marked by strong pitching and a crucial ninth-inning error. The lone run of the contest came in the top of the ninth inning with two outs, when a weakly hit ground ball by Lin Tzu-wei to first base resulted in a fielding miscue by Kuo Fu-lin.

Lin Tzu-wei reached on the play, which was recorded as a hit and an error. This allowed the runner, who had advanced to second base, to score from second on the play. The Rakuten bullpen then held on to secure the win, with Su Chun-chang earning the team's 1200th career hold in the seventh inning.

Both starting pitchers were dominant. Rakuten's Mooreman pitched six scoreless innings, allowing only four hits and one walk while striking out five.
