Kuwait Arrests 4 Convicts in $180 Million Public Fund Embezzlement Cases

Kuwait's General Department for the Execution of Judgments has apprehended four individuals convicted in significant public fund embezzlement cases. The arrests occurred as the convicts attempted to evade authorities and escape the enforcement of court rulings. The Ministry of Interior stated that the Criminal Investigation Department carried out the arrests as part of ongoing efforts to track down wanted individuals and ensure judicial decisions are implemented. These four convicts were implicated in cases involving embezzlement that resulted in substantial financial losses to public funds, estimated at around $180 million. Security forces conducted extensive operations across the country to locate and apprehend them. The Ministry of Interior underscored that enforcing court judgments is a legal obligation and vowed to continue efforts around the clock to apprehend those evading justice. It also advised individuals with outstanding court rulings to voluntarily surrender to resolve their legal status, rather than await security operations like raids and arrests.
