Kuwait, Italy align on regional security

Kuwait and Italy are solidifying their defense ties, with Kuwaiti Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shuraian holding significant talks in Rome aimed at bolstering military cooperation and expanding their strategic defense partnership.

During his official visit, Al-Shuraian met with Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto and Italy’s Chief of Defense, General Luciano Portolano. The discussions centered on enhancing joint military cooperation and reinforcing the long-standing strategic defense partnership between the two nations. Both sides explored avenues for broader collaboration between their armed forces.

According to a statement from the Kuwaiti General Staff, the meetings also involved an exchange of views on the latest regional developments. The two countries discussed their joint efforts to promote security and stability within the region.

Kuwaiti Ambassador to Italy Nasser Al-Qahtani was present during Al-Shuraian's meeting with Defense Minister Crosetto. The Kuwaiti delegation, comprised of senior Army officers, has since concluded its visit and returned to Kuwait.
