Kuwait Police Arrest Three Juveniles Over Assault Video Filmed in Salmiya Restroom

Kuwait's Ministry of Interior has apprehended three juveniles following an investigation into a disturbing video that circulated widely on social media. The footage depicted the assault of a teenager within a public restroom in the Salmiya area.

The Criminal Security Sector initiated an investigation after monitoring social media content. Investigators successfully identified and arrested the individuals involved, all of whom are Kuwaiti nationals under the age of 18. During questioning, the suspects provided confessions detailing their involvement.

The first suspect, a 17-year-old, admitted to physically assaulting the victim. A second suspect, aged 16, confessed to filming the incident. The third 17-year-old admitted to uploading the video onto social media platforms. All three have been referred to the Juvenile Prosecution for further legal proceedings.
