Kuwaiti women urged to update housing request

Kuwaiti women with existing rental housing applications are being prompted to update their information through a new online service. The Women’s Housing Affairs Committee at the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) has activated this feature on the Sahel app, aligning with the government's digital transformation goals.

Those registered with PAHW and holding a current rental housing application will receive a notification via the Sahel app. This notification will contain a link to access the update service, where they can upload necessary documents. The committee emphasizes the importance of prompt action, urging recipients to update their details and submit required paperwork within 90 days of the announcement.

Failure to update applications by the deadline, October 16, 2026, will result in cancellation. A comprehensive list of required documents has been provided, including proof of identity, nationality, marital status, children's education, travel history for the next three years, confirmation of no real estate ownership for the applicant or spouse, commercial registry details, and disability documentation if applicable. A salary certificate is also mandatory, with an alternative certificate from PAHW required for unemployed applicants.

This initiative aims to streamline the housing application process and ensure accurate, up-to-date information for all applicants. The PAHW is committed to leveraging digital platforms to enhance public services for Kuwaiti citizens.
