Kwak Si-yang and former Lovelyz member Yoo Ji-ae to marry after a year of dating

Actors Kwak Si-yang and Yoo Ji-ae, a former member of the girl group Lovelyz, will marry on Nov. 28 after about a year of dating.

Their agencies, 9ato Entertainment and K-Plus, said the couple had “promised a future together based on deep trust and love.” The wedding will be held privately with family members, relatives and close friends. The pair had not publicly disclosed their relationship, and no major dating rumors emerged before the announcement.

Kwak began his career as a model and made his acting debut in Lee Song-hee-il’s 2014 film “Night Flight.” He later appeared in television dramas including “Oh My Ghost,” “Alice,” “Lovers of the Red Sky,” “The Forbidden Marriage” and “The Uncanny Counter,” as well as the film “The Battle of Jangsari.” He will play law firm head Seo Joo-hyuk in KBS2’s upcoming weekend miniseries “Love You, Not Anyone Else.”

Yoo first became known through Infinite’s reality program “Infinite! You Are My Oppa” in 2010. She released the solo song “Delight” in 2013 and officially debuted with Lovelyz in 2014. The group became one of the notable girl groups of the mid-to-late 2010s with songs including “Ah-Choo,” “Destiny” and “Now, We.” She later expanded into acting, appearing in films and dramas including “The Escape of the Seven” and “The Third Marriage.”
