Kwara PDP presents certificates of return to 2027 candidates

The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has formally presented Certificates of Return and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination forms to its candidates for the 2027 general elections. The ceremony, held at the party's state secretariat in Ilorin, marked the culmination of its primary election process.

During the event, 24 House of Assembly candidates received their Certificates of Return and statutory INEC nomination documents, representing constituencies across the state. This followed an earlier ceremony at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja, where the party's governorship candidate, Bolakale Kawu, its three senatorial candidates, and six House of Representatives candidates had received their respective Certificates of Return and INEC Forms EC9 and EC13A.

Kwara PDP Chairman, Isa Bawa Adamu, congratulated the House of Assembly candidates, urging them to maintain unity, discipline, and focus as the party moves into the campaign phase. He also encouraged them to strengthen the PDP's structures within their constituencies and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the party's electoral prospects. The party leadership also commended former Senate President Bukola Saraki for his leadership and commitment.

Beneficiaries of the presentations expressed gratitude to the party leadership for conducting transparent and peaceful primaries. They pledged to work collaboratively with party leaders and supporters to secure a victory for the PDP in the 2027 general elections. The party is intensifying consultations and grassroots mobilization across the state's 16 local government areas.
