Kyrgyz Boxers Triumph with Six Wins at Bishkek International Event

Kyrgyzstan's professional boxers achieved significant success at an international event held in Bishkek's 'Jashtyk Arena,' securing six victories against competitors from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Russia, and Cuba. A highlight of the evening was Iktiyar Nyshanov's win over Russia's Mikhail Tarkhanov, earning him the special Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh belt. Akzhol Sulaymanbek uulu also claimed a championship title, defeating Thailand's Fayom Campi for the Kyrgyz Professional Boxing League belt. Other Kyrgyz boxers who emerged victorious include Azizbek Khojayev, Mizohid Imamnazarov, Nuradin Rustambek uulu, and Omurbek Bekzhigit uulu, who defeated opponents from Kazakhstan, Cuba, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, respectively. However, Daniel Abdrakhmanov of Kyrgyzstan lost his bout to Russia's Artem Nikitenko. The event, considered one of the largest in the history of professional boxing in independent Kyrgyzstan, drew notable figures from the sport, including former world champions Evander Holyfield and Alexander Povetkin. The evening also featured a concert program and guest appearances.
