Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry Received Over 800 Requests in Q2 2026

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic processed a significant volume of official requests during the second quarter of 2026, receiving a total of 860 communications. These requests originated from various high-level government bodies, including the presidential administration, the cabinet, and the Jogorku Kenesh (parliament).

The majority of the inquiries focused on consular and legal matters. This included issues related to passport and visa services, the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of Kyrgyz citizens residing abroad, and employment opportunities. Additionally, a notable number of requests pertained to the reimbursement of funds for state services.

Out of the 860 appeals received, 857 were formally placed under review. The ministry successfully resolved 689 of these requests within the legally stipulated timeframes, while 167 remain in progress. The positive resolution rate indicates effective handling of citizen concerns and intergovernmental communications.

Specifically, 263 questions were addressed successfully, leading to positive outcomes for the applicants. For another 367 requests, the ministry provided necessary clarifications and explanations. A further 12 requests were forwarded to other relevant state bodies based on their jurisdiction. The ministry's leadership also personally met with 13 citizens, and a hotline provided regular consultations to Kyrgyz nationals.

This data highlights the active role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in addressing citizen concerns and facilitating governmental operations. The volume and nature of the requests reflect the ongoing need for consular support, legal assistance, and clear communication channels for citizens both domestically and internationally.
