Kyrgyz Poets Garner Top Honors at "Great Silk Road" Festival

Kyrgyzstan's literary talent shone at the VI International Festival "Great Silk Road" in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where a delegation of Kyrgyz poets garnered numerous prestigious awards. The event celebrated poetry and cultural exchange along the historic trade route.

Several distinguished poets from Kyrgyzstan were recognized for their contributions to literature. Akbar Ryскуlov, a People's Poet of the Kyrgyz Republic and laureate of the Toktogul State Prize, along with honored poets Dokturbek Yusupov and Kyyalbek Urmanbetov, were awarded the festival's "Golden Camel" medal. Additionally, poets Kanybek Imanaliev, Eldar Attokurov, and Altunay Ormotoeva received "Silver Camel" medals.

The festival also honored achievements in poetic collections. Asan Jaksylykov, Abdrakhman Alymbayev, and Altynbek Ismailov were presented with gold medals for "Best Poetic Collection." The highest honor for Kyrgyzstan at the festival went to poet Altunay Temirova, who was named the main laureate. She received the gold medal "World Poetic Movement" from the committee of the same name, as well as the Hong Kong Literary and Art Award, recognizing her significant impact on the literary world.
