Kyrgyzstan builds and renovates 673 schools and kindergartens in five years

Kyrgyzstan has made significant strides in its educational infrastructure, constructing and renovating a total of 673 schools and kindergartens between 2021 and 2025. This substantial investment aims to improve learning environments across the country.

The Ministry of Education reported that during this five-year period, 394 new schools and 147 new kindergartens were built. In addition to new constructions, extensive capital repairs were carried out on 114 existing schools and 18 kindergartens, ensuring that these facilities meet modern standards.

Looking ahead, the ministry plans to complete construction and renovation work on an additional 79 educational facilities before the commencement of the 2026/2027 academic year. This ongoing effort includes 39 schools, 11 kindergartens, and 29 buildings undergoing major repairs.

Furthermore, the government intends to finalize work in 58 more educational institutions by the end of 2026. Of these, 56 are currently under construction, while two are undergoing capital repairs, demonstrating a continued commitment to enhancing the nation's educational facilities.
