Kyrgyzstan celebrates 82nd anniversary of Talas region, highlights development

Kyrgyzstan recently marked the 82nd anniversary of the formation of the Talas region with celebratory events attended by key government officials. Adylbek Kasymaliev, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, was present and addressed residents, emphasizing the region's historical importance as a place of peace, harmony, and good neighborliness.

Kasymaliev recalled the region's prominent figures, including Manas, the hero Choolponbai Tuleberdiev, and writer Chingiz Aitmatov, underscoring Talas's rich cultural and historical heritage. He also detailed ongoing infrastructure development initiatives aimed at boosting the region's socio-economic progress.

Several large-scale projects are in progress, with some slated for completion around the 35th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence. These include the comprehensive reconstruction of the "Manas Ordo" historical and cultural complex and the construction of the "Aitmatov Aalam" cultural and memorial complex. Additionally, plans are in motion to modernize the Suusamyr-Talas-Taraz international highway and launch the "Bala-Saroo" small hydroelectric power station.

During his visit, Kasymaliev also chaired a meeting focused on the upcoming 35th-anniversary celebrations of Kyrgyzstan's independence, scheduled to be held in Talas from September 11-12.
