Kyrgyzstan Checks Border Guards' Readiness for SCO Summit and World Nomad Games

Kyrgyzstan is enhancing its border security measures in anticipation of two major international events: the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit and the World Nomad Games. Abdikarim Alimbaev, the chairman of Kyrgyzstan’s State Border Service, personally assessed the operational readiness of border guards.

The inspection focused on key entry points, including Manas International Airport, the country's primary air hub, and several strategic border crossing points. Alimbaev evaluated the preparedness of personnel and the effectiveness of security protocols in place.

This proactive assessment aims to ensure seamless and secure management of borders during the influx of international delegates, athletes, and visitors expected for both the SCO Summit and the World Nomad Games. The government seeks to project an image of stability and efficient organization to the global community.
