Kyrgyzstan exports just 190.7 kilograms of gold in six months

Kyrgyzstan recorded a stark imbalance in its foreign trade of precious metals and related products during the first half of 2026. Official data from the National Statistical Committee reveals that imports vastly overshadowed exports, with incoming precious metals exceeding outgoing ones by a factor of 93.47.

During the period from January to June 2026, the country's gold exports amounted to a mere 190.7 kilograms. This minimal outflow contrasts sharply with the substantial volume of precious metals and manufactured goods entering the country, indicating a significant trade deficit in this sector.

The figures highlight a considerable disparity in the flow of precious metals, suggesting that Kyrgyzstan is importing significantly more than it is exporting. This imbalance raises questions about the domestic processing of these materials and their ultimate destination or use within the country.
