Kyrgyzstan launches online service for obtaining trade patents

The State Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan has introduced a new digital service, enabling entrepreneurs to acquire trade patents online through the "taxpayer cabinet" portal. This initiative aims to streamline the process and reduce the need for in-person visits to tax authorities.

Entrepreneurs can now complete their tax obligations from anywhere with internet access by utilizing the online platform at cabinet.salyk.kg. The system guides users through several straightforward steps to obtain the necessary patent, eliminating queues and saving valuable time.

To obtain a trade patent online, users must log into their "taxpayer cabinet," navigate to the "Correspondence with the State Tax Service" section, and select the "Trade Patent" service. After creating an application, they will fill in taxpayer details and information about their trading point before saving the application.

Payment for the patent is also integrated into the online system. Users can select the patent in the application registry, choose the months for payment, and generate a payment code and QR code. These codes are valid until midnight on the day of generation. Once payment is successfully processed, the patent is automatically activated and can be printed from the portal. The service is available for entrepreneurs trading in markets, mini-markets, and other retail outlets, with patent rates determined by estimated annual turnover.
