Kyrgyzstan Minister: Construction Oversight Conducted Daily Across All Regions

Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Construction, Nurdin Oruнтаев, asserted that the country's construction projects undergo rigorous daily oversight. Speaking at an "Open Cabinet" meeting with media, Oruнтаев detailed that monitoring efforts span all regions of the nation. He emphasized that specialists from his ministry, along with the State Department for Architecture and Construction Control (SACC), are actively involved in supervising the quality of ongoing construction work.

Oruнтаев acknowledged that while rare, instances of substandard construction materials being used do occur. However, he highlighted the existence of a dedicated online platform where citizens can submit complaints and reports regarding construction issues. This system aims to ensure accountability and provide a channel for public feedback on building standards.

The minister also shared insights into his personal involvement, stating that he regularly visits construction sites himself. Due to his demanding work schedule, he admitted to occasionally spending the night in his car while overseeing projects. This commitment underscores the government's focus on improving construction quality and safety standards throughout Kyrgyzstan.
