Kyrgyzstan Names Kok-Boru and Kokpar Teams for World Nomad Games

Kyrgyzstan has announced the final lineups for its national Kok-Boru and Kokpar teams participating in the upcoming World Nomad Games. The selections include 12 athletes for each discipline, along with their respective team leaders, coaches, and horse masters.

For the Kok-Boru team, the selected athletes are Tashtemir Mailbashev, Mirbek Mutashev, Edilzhan Toktogul uulu, Nurbek Yusupov, Tilek Musabekov, Nazar Koshunbaev, Seyitbek Anarbek uulu, Kiyaz Niyazov, Aidarkan Anarbekov, Nurzhan Melisbek uulu, Baytegin Omorbeyov, and Aitbek Zholdoshbek uulu. The team leadership includes Bekur Shukurov as team leader, Urmat Musaev as coach, and Kalybek Altybaev as horse master.

Kyrgyzstan national teams for Kok-Boru and Kokpar have finalized their rosters for the World Nomad Games.

The Kokpar team will feature Joldoshbek Orozaev, Kubanych Sultan uulu, Ersultan Aidarkan uulu, Dastan Kachkynbaev, Erlan Tolobekov, Rustam Mudunov, Dastan Ruslanov, Dastan Sagynbek uulu, Rustam Tyinaliev, Manas Niyazov, Iskhak Bekbolot uulu, and Omurbek Esen uulu. Nursultan Abdymyssaev is the team leader, Erlan Abdykaparov serves as coach, and Sanjar Toktobolot uulu is the horse master.

The VI World Nomad Games are set to be held in Kyrgyzstan from August 31 to September 6, 2026. The opening ceremony will be in Bishkek, with the main competitions taking place in the Issyk-Kul region. According to Erlan Abdykaparov, vice president of the Kok-Boru Federation of Kyrgyzstan, eight countries will compete in Kok-Boru and six in Kokpar this year.
