Kyrgyzstan’s apple growers can now send their harvest for processing as new plant opens

Kyrgyz apple growers will have a new outlet for fruit that cannot meet market standards after Global ECO Green began operations in Ala-Buka district of Jalal-Abad region.

Starting October 1, growers can deliver apples that are unsorted, undersized or otherwise unsuitable for sale. The company plans to work not only with large suppliers, but also with individual farms, farmers, gardening cooperatives, agricultural businesses, processors and other suppliers.

The plant is designed to process up to 45,000 tonnes of apples during a season and produce as much as 7,000 tonnes of finished apple concentrate. Its production line covers the full process, from receiving, washing and sorting the fruit to crushing, pressing, filtering, evaporation and pasteurization. The concentrate is then placed in aseptic packaging.

Global ECO Green says it is interested in purchasing apples from the Jalal-Abad, Osh, Chüy and Issyk-Kul regions. It plans to supply the Kyrgyz domestic market and export the clarified natural concentrate to Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Mongolia and European countries.
