Kyrgyzstan's Cabinet Chairman inspects modernization at Balykchy transshipment base

Kyrgyzstan's Cabinet Chairman Adylbek Kasymaliev visited the Balykchy transshipment base of Kumtor Gold Company to review modernization efforts. The base is crucial for the nation's economy, particularly for the stable operation of the Kumtor mine, which is described as the country's economic flagship.

During his inspection, Kasymaliev received detailed updates on the ongoing work to upgrade the base's production and technical infrastructure. The modernization project focuses on enhancing the company's production efficiency, reducing the costs associated with logistics, and accelerating the speed of cargo transportation.

Last year, significant upgrades began at the base, including the installation of new fuel storage tanks. Their capacity has been expanded from 12,400 to over 32,000 cubic meters, and 1.2 hectares of the base area have been improved. The Balykchy transshipment base is strategically located along the Balykchy, Naryn road in southwestern Balykchy.
