Kyrgyzstan's Medical Insurance Fund Projects Over 12 Billion Soms Revenue for 2027

The Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund (CMIF) in Kyrgyzstan is anticipating robust revenue streams, with its budget for 2027 projected to exceed 12 billion soms. The draft law outlining the budget for 2027, and the planned period of 2028–2029, has been released for public discussion.

For the year 2027, the CMIF's budget is meticulously planned with both revenues and expenditures estimated at 12 billion 863 million 307,800 soms. Looking ahead, the fund anticipates continued growth, forecasting revenues of 13.6 billion soms for 2028 and a further increase to 14.2 billion soms for 2029.

The primary sources of funding for the CMIF's budget in 2027 are expected to be allocations transferred from the national budget and contributions from mandatory medical insurance premiums, which are channeled through the Social Fund. Specifically, funds from the republican budget are projected to reach 2 billion 57 million 870,400 soms, while insurance contributions are estimated to provide 8.4 billion soms.
