Kyrgyzstan sweeps Can-Am Rally Kazakhstan podium

Kyrgyzstan's motorsport athletes have achieved a clean sweep at the Can-Am Rally Kazakhstan 2026, claiming all podium spots in the ATV 4x4 category during the second stage of the competition. Vladimir Smirnov, Sanzhar Beishenov, and Edil Mukambetov stood out, showcasing the nation's growing strength in off-road racing.

This remarkable achievement builds on earlier successes in the series. In the first stage of the Can-Am Rally Kazakhstan, Bakhyt Abykeev secured a gold medal, further highlighting the dominance of Kyrgyz competitors. The Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports and Road Safety of the Kyrgyz Republic reported these victories, underscoring the talent emerging from the country.

Beyond the rally, Kyrgyz motorcyclists also made their mark on the track. At the SOKOL SBK Cup KZ, a road racing event held recently, Kyrgyz riders earned two prize places. Vyacheslav Gasser clinched first place in the Supersport discipline, while Anton Dudov took silver in the Superbike category.

Further demonstrating their versatility and skill, two Kyrgyz athletes competed in the first stage of the open motorcycle gymkhana championship in Almaty on June 28. Adilhan Mamakeev secured third place in the under-400cc motorcycle class, and Sanzhar Beishenov also earned a bronze medal, rounding out a successful period for Kyrgyz motorsports.
